I found a app radio 2 on closeout for 90 bucks and thought it would be a good addition to the 2000 LC
I went to install it and found this behind the stock head unit.
I assume that the plug on the left of the first picture is from a previous aftermarket install the colors of the wires match the colors of the speaker outs on the new head unit. I assume that means they by pass the stock amp ? the black plug above is the harness that leads to the new speaker wires.
The stock toyota harness had "taps" on 4 wires I assume < I need to look at the diagram> are for the power acc power and amp control.
I assume all I need to do is hook the new head units speaker out to the corresponding colors on the non factory harness and it should bypass the factory amp but the factory amp should still power the factory sub ?
Also I will be adding a back up cam and wondered where a good place to tap into the reverse lights for power would be. its a 2000 land cruiser
thanks for the help
