After 2+ years, some new info here... 2007 100 series and all 2008 and up 200 series also have this larger 1.28" pinion. If you order a 100 series rear differential from Toyota, it will probably supercede to a large pinion 9.5". The factory parts are now in good supply, so it might be a good time to move thhis forward.

Yes this is interesting and we are aware of this. We recently followed Toyota lead on all the 8" 8" rev, and & 98+ 9.5" gears and stepped up to 29 from 27. The us market for 200 series is very small so it may be a while til we offer 32 spline pinion. We have supplied many sets for very heavy armored car application. I like the idea of an upgrade, but we've sold thousands of 29 spline sets between the applications, with zero sheared pinion shafts.

There are possibilities for running axle shafts larger than the 100/200 1.37". The flange that comes with the Tundra 9.5" uses a 1350 joint... so there are some cool things that can be built here for the older rigs, too.

and how are you going to do this? How many? the 10.5 are on our to do list anyways. They wont do much good without the new fronts too though. And we already have gears in stock for the newer design 9.5"

How are those Tundra gears coming along? I didnt see them on the website yet?

Im interested in upgrading my axles at some point, and would like to keep them "toyota".

Perhaps Id better perouse it again.

Just email or call if you have any questions. We have lots of options for stronger parts while retaining toyota type components
