Has anyone successfully used the Dellow bellhousing to mate the 1UZ/2UZ to the H55F using off the shelf clutch components without sourcing them from Dellow? Throughout all the threads I've read on this subject, I have not found anyone who has been able to use the Dellow bellhousing for this application and everyone eventually resorts to using an R series transmission from a V6 pickup/ 4Runner or an H150. The few I've found that have mated the H55F to the 1UZ have made their own bellhousings or adapter plates.

The problem with that adapter is the same issue with putting an LS/350 into a 60 without some sort of spacer - you would need to move the transmission 4-5” forwards to keep the cylinder heads out of the firewall.
If I really wanted to put a 1/2/3UZ into a 60 with an H55f with off the shelf parts I would start with the Mark’s GM/LS adapter and another adapter to go from UZ to GM. That would get you the distance to leave the transmission in the stock location. And you’d be able to run the common GM flywheel/clutch.

This is why people use the R151f or H151f. They’re a bit longer and have the shifter at the rear.

Thank you

Now that you've explained this, I understand that the H151F and the R151F are much better options and that the H55F is not viable for this application, especially with the plethora of options for the R series transmissions from XAT and Northwest Toys.

My employer has a 60 that he is planning on swapping a 1UZ/R151F into using a Northwest Toys bellhousing. After he has done his swap, I will be able to see how all of it works on a much better scale.

I would not say this at all. I would say it is an different option and whatever you do will have pros and cons.
