I see that Rear Heat was an option at least in 01' and was wondering if anyone has installed this in a truck that did not come with it? I don't ride in back so I don't know if it actually gets cold but thought it would be nice if I could add for a reasonable price.

I thought that rear heat became a standard in 99'? I know they made rear a/c at least an option in 99' because I have\had it in mine.
Are you talking about rear heat all the way to the very back top vents? I'm not sure anyone has ever done it. My 99 has a button on the dash that says "Rear" I believe and when I have it depressed heat comes out the 2nd row seats on the floor board.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. I live in Wisconsin and nobody ever complains about my Landcruiser being cold. They're usually like "Turn that thing off it's 90 degrees in here!"
