I took in my GX this morning for some wiring work to repair damage that was done to the main wiring harness underneath center console. I asked him to call me and update if it was going to surpass two hours labor. Service Advisor (who I despise but keep getting assigned to) told me that they have a three hour minimum ($360) for any electrical work. Has anyone ever heard that before?

I see you are in Nashville. Cool Springs or Nashville location? I live in Brentwood.

I haven't heard of that, no. Sounds to me like they really don't want to do electrical work.

Well it is a pain in the ass job. There is a reason why I'm not doing it. Hahah. I dropped it off at 8:00 am and I haven't heard anything from them. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

I cut several wires with a drillbit on accident while installing a switch. It killed my rear A/C, ABS and all Trac systems. I think it also cut out an amp somewhere because stereo hasn't been as loud. I made an attempt and just got frustrated trying to pair wires together.

This X1000. A lot of shops have issues tracking down an electrical problem only to have the customer tell them "screw off" when they try and hit them with a diagnostic fee. It's a slippery slope.

Did you tell them this? Could cut down immensely on troubleshooting and diagnostic issues.

Yea of course. They know where the problem is. They just called and said they had to order some type of "plug" that would be here tomorrow. He expected it to be about $400 all in.
