Has anyone done a "retro" paint job on an 80? (1 Viewer)

I have a friend in auto body class that has to paint something. He and I were tossing the idea around of doing the top 6" or so of the 80 in white and the rest in red or blue.

I have yet to see anyone do it, but you never know. Or does everyone think it would look stupid?

yes it'll look stupid because of the body lines but that should NOT prevent you from trying it

It would be hard to make it look "right", but I'm sure that, with time and patience, you'll be able to figure it out.

If I was to do it, I wouldn't use red or blue for the main color. Stick to something more nuteral toned.

The 80 body lines mimic the 55 lines. I would do the top white and the body dune beige using the body line below the doors like the 55. I've been considering this for my rig.

Someone posted this a couple years back. And then somone did photoshop a white roof on either a black or green 80. Looked a bit wierd. But I'd like to see someone really do it!!!!

Although Mustard Yellow would be cool too. Dark Hunter Green is the best color, though.
