@bjowett after trimming the switch shape, did the switch (from an 80 series?) just snap into the hole, or did you need to do some fabrication/adhesive, etc.?

Better late than never…. It does snap in, though my recollection of exactly what retains it is fuzzy at best. My switch could not be removed unless the trim piece in which is mounts was removed from the center console.
