Wanted to share some pictures from my first visit to Harlan KY. We met up with a couple of the FJ Cruiser Trail Team members for a tour of the park. It was a perfect fall day for wheel'n and a great group to wheel with. We had everyone from first timers to the very experienced.

We were lucky enough to have as our tour leader George of Grace 4X4 in his built FJ-80 and a couple of his buddies. We had a great time with good buddies and made some new friends. You can see the rest of my pics on my photobucket page, look for the "Harlan Nov 3-4" album.

Nice pics... That place looks great. How big is that white 80 in person ???? Its got portals and 40s right ???

Yes, as far as I know about them. He asked about our FJC's and if they had lockers then I asked him about his and he said no, he was "welded"...

I was supposed to be leaving to go to Harlan this thursday but had to pass due to schedule conflicts, definitely a place we need to plan a trip to though, maybe early spring like you have mentioned. This destination will go on desired trial rides for the new year.

He kept it pretty low, maybe just a tad over 7 feet tall to the top of the roof from my recollection when I saw him at Harlan a few months ago.

neat rig, TONS of ground clearance.. SICK amounts.

Right on the money Rich, it's about 7'1" tall, 24" to the skidplate, 18" to the diffs:D

I don't remember that...the portal axles have vacuum activated lockers not welded.

Maybe you were tired of asking questions, so you decided to mess with him...

Instead of explaining why an automatic return to center rear steer isn't desirable on a trail rig, it gets to the point where when people ask me "So does the rear return to center by itself?" I just say "yeah, but it's broke"
