I have been talking to some of my wheeling buddies and there is an interest for a Harlan trip. I know that some of you that made it to Harlan in Oct and probably some others are interested in going.

Right now I am looking at late May to mid/late June. Memorial Day falls in there as well so that may be a good idea, 3 days.

Please post up in this thread. Please send me a PM if you are in fact interested and what dates would work for you. Please tell me all the dates that look good for you as it will be easier to track overlap of dates with the most people.

4/30/10-It is starting to look like mid to late June is a better time for many. What do you think?

Yeah, trip for Uwharrie is that weekend also. Remember we're hosting Upstate Lowcountry and MATLCA.

would love to go to harlan this year but probably cant go till fall

This proposes a tough timetable for me... URE and Harlan in consecutive or within 2 weeks? Also, I am now considering GSMTR as well, but need to make some decisions. I dooooooooo love Harlan though! The GSMTR pot has been sweetened given all the prizes and the kick ass location, but what a friggin' haul out there and back. I have to fit a "normal" vacation in for the :princess: as some point too. Wow!

So much wheelin' to do, and so little time (and money :) )

 R

I hear you Ramon. We did a run up at Raushe Creek in PA on Easter weekend. It was 11 hrs up and 10.5 hrs back for one day of wheeling. I have a lot of customers in that area and I wanted to go and meet some of them. We had a great time while there but the road time was a killer.

We also chose to trailer up the FJ. Raushe is known for some serious rocks and I figured if I broke something like at URE I would be in a world of hurt. THey sure had some rocks!! I have scrapes in places I,ve not had scrapes before and my Buds are beat up, thanks Bud:)

I am open on timing. Mid to late June is starting to look better from the feedback.

Brian, your bobsled run lives on. I saw it about a month ago on a Harlan thread in the Blue Room.

That was a memorable decent for sure. That crease ever come out of your seat?

Late June works for us! We've been dying to go to Harlan!

I have to replace the leather because of those two descents... :D

Anything come of this? When are you looking at, Stan?

Late June eary July may work for us, I have to ask Heather about her schedule at work. July 4th is a Sunday so I am asuming that Monday is a day off for many. 3 days will make it easie for many.

What does everyone think about July 4th weekend?

I think we already have something going on 4th of July weekend. But we'll see what works for everyone else. From what I've seen Harlan is big so I definitely want to go with a group that's been there before. :)
