Well, just have to vent. I'm in the middle of screening and coating my hardwood floors. Everything's been going too good, so something had go wrong. I'm on the 2nd coat of poly, the 1st is just barely, barely tacky. Not wanting to get my dirty feet on the stuff I throw on a pair of socks.

Well, apparently I found one spot that was a little tackier than the rest and now there's a fuzzy white footprint in the poly. Hell.

Time to wait for it to dry and sand it out . . .

Bummer. Could you use a buffing pad maybe and take out the fuzzies without removing too much of the poly?

I seem to recall seeing some footies/covers that were designed for that purpose.

I'm going to hit it with an orbital and 150 grit, hopefully that's just enough to remove the cotton and the dimpling it caused. They I'll hit it with the final layer thinned with mineral.

Hate when that happens, if you didn't leave an impression I'd break out the steel wool and the shop vac.
