Changed my pump and no change. In honor of keeping this short, check the u-joint on your steering shaft. That is all. Feels like new steering. Who knew??

What exactly was wrong?
I used about a can of Brake Clean to clean out 20 years of whatever...lots of black stuff fell out of it. I then sprayed it liberally with WD-40 and it is like new. I thought it needed a new pump. Nope, but it got one anyways. It will need a new shaft in the future, but until I get time to swap it, I at least have good steering back. It was very hard to turn and had soft spots. It was weird. The u-joint was binding up.
