hard door jams... strike?

removing bestop 1/2 doors to install orig metal doors,
what does paddle handle on a 1974 strike against at the body
line??? the 1/2 door had its own catch at strike that has to
be removed... but dont have the old hardware needed,
any pics would be great thanks

When you use the bestop doors they send a compatible striker for them...thats probably whats installed on your rig...
You seem to need the "other" oem type striker of which I have no pic handy...

Female strike? Sounds like you have doors from a later model ? If so you need the different strike....#8 in the bottom pic...
