Installed my new Ham radio today. Kenwood TM-D710GA with Comet CA-2x4srnmo antenna. Mounted the unit next to the CB and the head is mounted to sticky pad on the dash for easy access. Antenna is mounted to custom built mount bolted to spare tire carrier. Now just have to figure out all the bells and whistles on this radio. Also have my radio operator license plates on order. Texas does not charge anything extra for the plates and you can get them for any vehicle you operate a ham radio from, so I can get my call sign K1JEG license plates for all my vehicles.

Dug out my 40 something year old Midland 19 channel CB and installed it with a 102" steel whip. The mounting holes were already there for the whip.
