You may have heard other 4wheelers say they have a Ham (Amateur) or 2 meter radio in their rig. You may already have your Technician license and just want to learn what else the hobby has to offer. This weekend is your opportunity to learn more about Ham radio, operate a HF station or just learn more about what Hams do.
Pikes Peak Radio Amateur Association (PPRAA) will be holding Field Day at Mountain View Electric on Woodmen in Falcon from Saturday Noon to Sunday Noon (6/22 to 6/23).
This is a national event that hams around the US attend to get Hams out of their houses to show how emergency communications can be set up and operate in the field.
Please stop by for information or opportunity to talk to someone on the East Coast or many of the states. The location is Mountain View Electric, 11140 Woodmen in Falcon Colorado. If you are not in the Colorado Springs area, look up your local Ham club and they will also be having a special event.
