Hey everyone, I'd like to start collecting HAM call signs and keeping track of them in the ONSC database. That way, us nerds can look up each other's call sign and start up a conversation :D It'd also be handy as a reference for group runs as another form of communication if walkie talkies ( people still use those? :D ) or CBs fail us.

In the database thus far, I've already got call signs for the following people:

Myself - KK4HAN
Mike L. - K4AZY
Driver5155 (Jerry) - W8GV
Chmod (Jon) - K6OJ
Brian Keefer - KK4VOT
Allen - KO4UCM
Scott S - KS4RNR
Del - KO4WKT

Post up and I'll get it in the database, then begin including the call signs in the 'Current Member' list for public reference.

Thanks guys!

HAM radio operator, as in amateur radio operator. Requires a license, etc.

I know Sean and Jerry both have their licenses.

Any other closet HAM operators in the club?

My dad is the biggest HAM nerd ever - it was his hobby during his Air Force career..he's got one heckuva set up. I believe you can probably pick him up with a good antenna - SV0AC is his call sign..There's not much he doesnt know about Ham..Pretty much like this group and their Landcruisers..sadly Im still on walkies :c

I love HAM! And bacon and pork chops too!

I am a "nerd" but I guess not that kind of nerd.

I hope to have mine by the end of the year, so if anyone has any good study references other than the websites, let me know!
