Up for sale is an H55 that came out of my 1997 Troopie. The gearbox has approximately 130K miles on it, shifted fine and the fluid was a good honey color when I dropped it with only a little "fuzz" on the drain plug. The transmission currently had a 1HZ input shaft on it, but included is a new take-off H/F input shaft. I also forgot to unplug the reverse switch and pulled the pins out of the plug. May need new switch if the plug cannot be fixed.
$800 takes it, am only doing local pick up for the time being, don't have the time to arrange shipping right now. PM email address if you want pics.

One question somebody had on why I pulled the gearbox off the Troopie. I had a brand new H55 for a conversion on my '76 FJ40, I have since sold the 40 but still had the transmission. I was going to sell it, but I had to drop the tranny on the Troopie to do some repairs to the transfer case, so I decided to swap the input shaft and put the new H55 on the troopie since I had it all torn apart. I was going to keep it for the next project, but I am moving this summer and am reducing the clutter and cruiser parts.
As far as not wanting to ship right now, I will be on the road a bunch for the next couple weeks, and wouldn't be around for a freight pick-up. I was just doing the P/U option to see if anybody local wanted it, but I will entertain shipping as soon as things slow down for me.
