GX470: Tachometer stopped working

I changed out a dead battery on my 2004 GX470 and got a few side effects:
-the gauge needles flicker but don't complete the full sequence
-after about 20 seconds the gas/speedometer work
-the tachometer stays at 0

The new battery is an everstart maxx 24F, 725 CCA/890 cranking amps.

Any ideas on what's causing this?

Probably not related. As this vehicle gets older the stepper motor would wear out and eventually stopped working. You can replace the stepper motor or send it to speedometer shop to get it replaced.

I believe there is a dedicated fuse for the combination meter but if some work, the stepper motor for each gauge are more likely.
