Hey team Mud,

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! The radio in my wife's GX decided to stop working this past week and I'm looking for a bit of guidance on trouble-shooting the issue. Looking at images online, it appears that it's one of the Pioneer (non-NAV, non-ML) systems. I've checked and replaced (just to be sure) all three audio-related fuses (two under the hood, one under the dash) without success. The radio turns on/tunes perfectly, the CD loads fine. There just isn't any sound. Most likely it's the amplifier (under the seat I believe), but want to be sure before I order one online. What else should I check?

Thanks for the guidance!

Do you have sound if you plug into the rear set entertainment jacks? Looks like that is seperate from the amp.
Looks like the amp is powered on radio 2 fuse and is the red with blue stripe wire at the amp.
Also check 7.5A guage fuse.
If you have a multimeter you could use it to check the output from the radio.

Thanks for the great and thoughtful response! Per your suggestion, I checked the rear headphone jacks, but didn't have any sound from them either. However, I'm not sure that they've ever worked as we haven't used them. I removed the amplifier to take a few pics of the connections and part label and then put the amp back in the car. Interestingly, it started working. Weird. So, not sure if it was a connection issue or something within the amplifier, but we now have sound. Crazy.
