I'm on my second rear door handle replacement. It has become clear that if you are 6yrs old or close to a common height for a 6yr old girl, the angle at which you pull on the GX rear door handle is the exact leverage needed to snap it right off.
Apparently it is a combination of just the right amount of outward travel and downward pull with 35-40lbs of body weight and a 6yr girl's hand strength. It is kryptonite to the GX's super powers.
These handles have been repeatedly tested against an angry self-righteous 40yr old man, wanting to bust something, and giving it his best yank. They laugh it off. They throw his impotent anger in his face and say "weak sauce".
Not so the 6yr old girl. Her technique is sublime. Her incantation of Frozen's Let It Go with a soft twirl and pull has an apocalyptic force it cannot withstand.
The replacement will leave Bell Lexus Parts this morning.
*sigh
