Could not believe I am the first to write a thread about this (unless I missed it somewhere between here and the Club Lexus forum)
2007 GX470
Display screen blank- radio and AC work but cant control on touch screen (its blacked out)
tried a few tricks that others had suggested on the Lexus Forum
like hold info and cycle lights 4x
removed positive battery cable and replaced
held menu for a minute
etc etc
went to dealer expecting a unpleasant $$ surprise.
nope! service writer pulled it in to the shop and ....
Disconnected the NEGATIVE battery cable. Fixed it right away and didn't charge me a thing (shouldn't have anyway) He said that sometimes the computer just gets scrambled and shuts itself off as a precaution.
So if you nav screen is blacked out and unresponsive give that a try.
