Does the 2015 GX 460 Luxury Package require replacing the AHC system fluid? I asked my mechanic to do it and they told me they spent over an hour looking for it and couldn't find it. They asked their lead mechanic which has mechanic'd Toyota vehicles for 25+ years and he claims my vehicle doesn't have that fluid. I know my vehicle has the rear air suspension because I've toyed around with it, but does it require the AHC system fluid change at 120k?

Per the maintenance manual, it states that at 120k miles, "Replace active height control system fluid (if equipped)". From what I've googled and searched this forum, this is the best answer I have towards whether this vehicle requires replacing the fluid for the AHC system: "You cannot do the service outside privately as it requires re-calibration after the replacement thru the ECT to record the information. This can be established only at the dealer. As the input for programming is done via the Tech stream Tool. Thus changing the vehicle condition current calibration data to the updated data."

EDIT: To add to this, I use my GX 460 as a daily driver and it never goes off-road. Assuming my vehicle does have this fluid, is it advisable to still perform the fluid swap if I never go offroad?

While the KDSS system on the 460 uses the same fluid as the LX AHC system … it doesn’t have AHC. This has not been a fluid I have seen someone change on the 460 for maintenance reasons. Only on repairs when it was refilled and re-pressurized after a leak or component failure.

RAHC on the rear is airbag based…and AVS for the adjustable shocks are just sealed shocks with electro/solenoid adjustability for changing the damping characteristics of the shocks.

Great info. Thank you for taking your time to respond. I will remove the service from my scheduled maintenance going forward.
