Does any one know a very competent gun smith in the Triangle are?
I need to get my bull barrel threaded for a muzzle brake.

I know the owners of Personal Defense and Handgun Safety Center (http://www.pdhsc.com), shot a few matches of IPSC/USPSA with them. Good folks (the owner's son is an International level shooter and appeared on Top Shot), they had a good gunsmith last time I talked with them but its been years.

Its a bit of a drive for you, I'd be Jason and/or Eric might have a reference closer to you...

It's a little bit of a drive for sure, but this is not really something I want to take a chance on, real easy to mess up a good barrel.

Agreed. Give them a call first for sure. Mike is the owner and he might even have a closer suggestion. I doubt he'd remember me by name, its been over 5 years since I shot with him and his son.

Yet, its a nice shop, has a good range as well as a bay that can be rented for "action" shooting practice. If you do go down, bring a gun (they do have rentals) so you can at least pull the trigger a few times to make the trip a little less painful...

I will give them a call for sure thanks for the input guys.

have no experience but there is a gunsmith in house at the gun vault in high point as well as one or two listed in the pleasant garden and stokesdale area
