Looking at a few 1998 and 1999 100 Series Cruisers here in Texas and was wondering if there was documentation of the differences in the Gulf States models. I know they likely have the fender flares, but are the lower body panels painted a different color as well?

I just looked at an Imperial Jade Mica with the grey flares and the lower body was painted the same grey. Almost like the 2-tone FJs.

Is this typical of all 98/99 of that color or just a Gulf States thing?

Thanks in advance!

they wont have a different color option being a gulf state car, their standard Toyota colors. the differences are really in the minor options such as heated seats being available or a regional option such as a different rim package that's only available in the gulf states. same truck nation wide. and that color combo could have always been done by the po with factory colors used

I think they did paint them when they installed the flares. I've had two of them with the Gulf states crap on them. The lower portions were painted gray over the original white. Some of the lower body was still white under the flares.

Good to know. I've looked through tons of pictures on here, but the Green and Grey are hard to tell apart in most lighting.

Can someone confirm that in 98/99 there were Imperial Jade Mica trucks where the lower body was green as well as the top?
