There is some useful information in there. However. All U.S. spec 100's are AWD never 2WD and have a differential in the transfer case. This differential is typically is locked when shifted into 4LOW and open when in 4HI. There is a button on the dash that enables one to "lock" this center differential when in 4HI. Some people have modified their switches to enable them to "unlock" this center dif while in 4LOW. This is referred to as the 7 pin mod. Also the U.S. spec 100's do not have "lockable hubs" instead they have drive plates that connect the wheels to the front axles. Same holds true for all U.S. spec 80 series LAnd Cruisers.

Just to be clear from model year 2000 on, the Pin 7 mod was done by the factory.
