The system worked well for me, but I’m deciding between a full Android head unit (more complex/invasive) or going with something simpler like the road top 8.8” car play display (less invasive).

The Android app functionality (ability to directly use google maps/Waze without CarPlay) was also really cool, but I didn’t want to pay for a dedicated hot spot and the iPhone hot spot won’t connect automatically.
