I'm not sure if you all are on the GXOR page but I started a group buy that hit the minimum of 10 in 2 hours. They've opened it up for additional units to be sold in the group buy so I'm expanding my reach a bit to the other forum pages.

Can the GROM be used to make and receive cell phone calls through the car audio?

From what i understand, the cell phone part of your gx is still intact. you still get the factory hands free calling and it is untouched by installing the Grom. This just replaces your CD changer. so you see an android unit when you flip to cd changer. so your car still treats your cell phone calls the same way it would if you were listening to a CD.

boom...yup. This is really a way to bring your old a$$ GX into today's entertainment with a plug and play option. Watch a few videos on it, you may just get hooked. You have until the 15th to get in!

Mine is an 04 so no integrated cell with the factory system. Hence my question and desire to add that feature and truly bring my GX into the 21st century.

From my own personal experience and those with screens older than the 06 version, there were issues. I returned mine and went to my first choice again, The Android screen.

For those that have the 2006 and newer screens, the feedback has been very good.

What year GX do you have? Do you have nav? Which Android one did you get the full 10" or the one with the buttons on the side? (Sorry for the interrogation style questions.)
