My daughter is coaching a newly formed girls high school rugby team, and they are having a pancake breakfast fundraiser this Saturday at Applebees on North Battleground (next to Herbie's). It is $7.00 per person cash (or more if you feel generous), for all you can cram down your gullet pancakes, coffee, juice, milk, etc. She believes they will also have bacon or sausage too. This is their first season, and their only fundraiser. They are trying to raise funds to go to a Rugby tourney in Atlanta later this spring.

I know its short notice, but if youre hunting for breakfast on Sat, let me know if youre interested in attending. They would also accept donations.

Could look at making this a coffee and cars type event?

Thanks,
Steve

I'll have to see what time my sons soccer games are this weekend. No promises, but we'll try and stop in.

Awesome. I'll probably end up there for the duration. Would be great to meet you, but I'd understand if you cant make it. If not, I'll see you Tuesday night at Mac's

Well, I was planning on going for the duration this morning....went out, started the truck to let it warm up, and the stupid "never can lock your keys in the truck with the engine running automatic thingie" went the other way, and locked the keys in with the engine running. Idling in the driveway with both heaters running full blast for just under 2 hours waiting for AAA to come. not even 5 mins later, door was open.

Ultragauge never read over 181.3 the entire time. I heart my cooling system.

Wowzers! no fun!

I ended up not making it. Sorry about that. Today has been a soccerfest Another game at 7:30 too....

Not a problem at all. I coached her soccer team for a couple years, so I know how that works. When I helped coach the boys rugby team for a couple years, we practiced 3 days a week, sometimes 4, and most of our games were in charlotte on saturdays....

I dont miss that. Although I'm in a lot worse shape now. But middle aged men should NOT be tackled repeatedly by 265 lb high school linebackers who love the fact you dont play with any pads in rugby.
