I went up to Greenridge state park in Maryland this weekend. We checked out the ORV road, which was really a forest road (light green at best). There are some other trail there as well that we did not get a chance to check out. Has anyone been there and explored in more detail? Are there any more challenging parts to the park?

Anyway, i thought it would be a great place for Stockers, mall crawlers, and newbies to take their trucks out and have a good time, and maybe camp out as well.

Here is a link to the web page and a map.

Everybody but you Dave.

Bob, you weren't supposed to let him know......

Sorry, I won't tell Dave we're going to Rausch next weekend to make up for my mistake.

Oh Cowboy ...

Yeah - Green Ridge is pretty tame. It was my first 4wd trail. I did it in my new, stock FJ in 4-Lo, took me like 5 hours. Now, I run it in about 1 1/2 hours, almost entirely in 2wd. It's fun to do once in a while, but it's really not challenging at all.

There's a halfpipe type of spot the ATVs use that's kind of fun, and a pretty steep hill obstacle on the side that gives you a little bit of a challenge.

Did you take any pictures sebastien?

No pics. sorry. the ORV trail is less challenging than the access trail at Rausch. but it would be perfect for the novice. In fact we took a friend who had never taken is 4runner off road. He thought it was crazy at first... then started getting into it. I am dying to take him to a challenging trail so he can see what crazy is.

I think it was the jeep club that cleaned up the trail and they did a heck of a job.

H2O,

By your post i am assuming the trails are clear? I have called the last several weekends and was told the trails were closed because of damage from a winter ice storm. This is good to know....

Trails were beautifully cleared. even brush was cut back.
