what country etc........

curious

Interesting- Made in China. (bottom left) Are these as good? It does say designed and engineered by Denso Corp., Japan

that's why there a deal ....

the same Genuine DENSO Plugs W14EXR-U that you purchase from your local toyota dealer are still made in JAPAN , at least the last set i bought was ......

DENSO Corp. has moved it's world headquarters from JAPAN to Jakarta Indonesia as of the last year or so , so anything is possible on this topic

i personally HUNT for the JAPAN made DENSO products like my Exclusive line of Factory Stamped and Embossed Cold Spec. / Saudi. Spec. heat rated Radiator Caps
there is a huge quality difference in the HEAVY DUTY and Metallurgy topics here ...

- the 2 epdm rubber gaskets are thicker and the metal cap itself is far far LESS Magnetic , this is because there is much much more Nickle Alloy infused with the carbon steel ....

- there STAMPED with the ND logo on each ear unlike the ones you can source from your local USA toyota dealer and come pre-punched with a retainer chain hole for the added application of a desired chain like all BIG cap used to have

i have reproduced the retainer chain feature and simply click snap it on the pre-punched factory JAPAN spec. Denso hole in the ear

the ND logo embossed in relief stands for NipponDenso

this is a old skool reference they don't use much any more today ........

Well, if they've moved their headquarters to Indonesia - I don't see anything being made in Japan for much/any longer. I'm going call the dealership tomorrow and see if they have any plugs in stock and see what the box says. If Denso is still in charge of quality control for the Chinese made plugs, hopefully they'll be the same but cheaper?!?

- here are ALL the LAND CRUISER TOYOTA OEM Genuine NipponDenso / DENSO Part #'s

- last time i checked ALL of these were MADE IN JAPAN 100% , but we are all starting to find out times are changing and changing fast at that .........

This was a print media Brochure handed out while I attended the T-TEN
Program in college by a real living and breathing DENSO ignition parts sales and technical representative from Long Beach 🏖 California

It’s full of good solid basics and advanced TECH too anything genuine NipponDenso spark ⚡️ plugs , at this time period late 1990’s 💯 % of Denso plugs were absolutely made in japan still …

Interestingly enough, the Middle East spec 3F engines '88-91 still take the 90919-01056 (W14EX-U) plug whereas USA spec 3F-E calls for W16EXR-U

Why the colder plug, @ToyotaMatt ?

Also, what's better for these older ignition systems, a 0.32" gap plug or 0.40" ?

This summer I ordered 6 oem spark plugs from Toyota and they could only get me five. I ended up buying the missing one off of amazon. Hopefully it will work out ok.
