Hi y'all! I thought I'd put out a reminder / request about submissions for the club's newsletter Cruisin' Colorado.

The deadline for submitting items for the newsletter is the second Tuesday of the month. (That's one week before the meeting.)

Do you have something to sell? A great bit of Land Cruiser trivia? A helpful maintenance tip. A great low cost modification? Know of a great shop? Some great pictures (they can even be about four-wheeling). If so, send it to me and I'll get them in the newsletter.

Things that I'd really like to see for the newsletter are trip reports (club runs or something you did on your own). Pictures of the club (or its members) in action.

So mark your calendar for the the second Tuesday of every month, and become a published author or photographer!

Thanks,
Jeff

If you are interested in something from a prospective applicant who lives over 1000 miles away, I could probably put something together for you.

I've been doing the newsletter for my club for about 2 years, and I know what a struggle it is to get submissions.

Thanks. Any input is welcome.

Yeah, submissions have been difficult to come by lately. I guess everyone's too busy wheelin' to sit in front of a computer to talk about what they've done or where they went.

Hey, this is Matt Farr from the Rising Sun up in the Denver area. Someone from your club recently hit me up to do a newsletter exchange. Just thought I'd let you know that we haven't done a printed newsletter in a couple of years. There are always a few older members who say we should have one, but we don't have anyone volunteering to create it anymore.

We now pretty much communicate with our online forum, which uses the same software as Mud, but with fewer users.

We'd love to do a run with you southern guys sometime this year -- maybe in June or July?

Also, we're planning a Rally to celebrate the 30th anniversary of TLCA. It's a one day deal, on Sunday, August 20th 2006. It will be a bit of a drive for y'all, but it should be worth the effort.

See ya!

It seems that most groups aren't doing newsletters any more. At least that what I gather from the replies that I've received.
