Not sure when the adjuster is going to be here. We were told that they are going in order of severity. As for the 62, it is a heart-breaker. It only had collision coverage and no comprehensive. We were already told that our home owners policy isn't going to cover it. I guess I just start looking for those replacement parts again. Not like I haven't been there before. I had already replaced the hood and both front fenders. What's important is that none of the dogs were injured, nor was my son or I, and that my fiancée made it home safe.
I gotta say it was really surreal to watch it all happen at first, and then after getting sprayed with glass shards and having baseball size hail bouncing around the room, the adrenaline kicked in and survival mode was fore front. The whole front and south-side of the house were just getting hammered as my son and I grabbed the dogs up and headed towards the opposite side of the house into the master bedroom. I could hear my car alarm, as well as my neighbors brand new camaro's alarm, screaming. I knew it wasn't going to be good at that point. After about 15 minutes it let up, and we emerged to view the carnage. I think the palm trees in front of the house at about 30' high saved the front bedroom window as they were in the trajectory path of most of the hail. My entire neighborhood is trashed, and I mean the entire neighborhood! I waited in line at Home Depot last night for 1-1/2 hours to purchase two sheets of 1/2 inch ply. I finally had the windows boarded up at around 10pm and sat down on the back porch with a shot of tequila and a very tall mug of beer. Jami and I were just in disbelief, but were thankful none-the-less that we were all safe. There were saws running and hammers pounding all around us until about 12:30am last night.
