at the beach this weekend decided to 'work' the lockers.
pulled transfer into low. abs light goes out and low range lite activates.
back and forth on the magic dial as the lockers, especially rear, didn't want to engage.
front finally engaged but I don't think the rear ever did.
as I'm driving up slope for a little gravity pull on the rig trying to engage lockers, the(a) relay in rf kick panel clicks on/ off, on/ off as do the abs light, low range light and locker lights all in unison. this happened several times but eventually ceased.
during this 'event', the low ranged stayed engaged as did which ever locker may have been engaged at the time.
hope that's plain enough.
Help me Obe wan Kenobe(s), yoose my only hope.

All you can do is put it on jacks and see whats up.
Probably just hanging up because of lack of use or corrosion.

sounds like you have a connection issue. Time to print up those wiring diagrams and trace some of those wires leading from your switches to your relays. I would guess it has more to do with the switches themselves rather than at the relays. Good luck.

Well, the indicators are limit switches that can fail and the locker motors are subject to corrosion. There are several good articles on refurbishing the locker motors. My rear was full of rust and the motor wouldn't spin, even the magnets were popped off of the housing, I nursed it back to health. It is critical to know what you are doing before you take them apart. Once inside, Polyurea grease is typically what is used on electric motors but you don't want to get it into the motor. My wires were almost melted and I believe that is was due to a motor that never moved and was drawing some amps. I'm with Gnob on getting it up on some stands test it out and go from there..

In the plans. Radiator replacement in Ernie this weekend.:bang:
