Just put 4 of these wranglers 31" on my FJ40 (135$ each)

The kids at walmart havent got a clue, They ripped the bead on two new tires, i was laughing as I watched them.
But the best was watching them take of the really tight hubcaps, they tried locking the hubs thinking it would disingage the hubcaps:eek:

One problem, now my brake pedal is pulsing a little bit when I use the brake, This would be from the balancing being off, Right?

They were nice kids and gave me there 10% employee discount!

What sort of brakes do you have? Pulsing is usually caused by a warped or uneven thickness rotor on a disc brake system, or a drum thats out of round on a drum brake system.. Unbalance in the wheel would be felt all the time, not just under braking..

I have drums all around. I had them torque them at 85, not sure if thats right though. The old rotting tires that came with the truck were the same size 31x10.5x31 general grabbers(?) with plenty of thread on them. It only started happening after I changed the tires.

Check to see if they used the stick on weights to balance. I had a shop do this, and the weights were SO CLOSE to the drum, when I would hit the brakes, it would do this. I have always had some type of problem with the stick on weights.

The pulsing went away....maybe the weights fell off:D...they were the crimp type weight and they used a bunch of them..

How 'bout pics on your rig. I've been looking at these tires. Thanks

Thanks. Those just look right on your Cruiser!

No big difference than the general grabber 31' that I had on before, same amount of noise....So far so good. DD back and forth to work on the highway about 40 miles...
