When traveling at hwy speed I notice a vibration in my wheel. I have new tires and I think they are blanced correctly. Front rotors turned and rear drums re surfaced. My rig is a 4x4.

Any suggestions on what could be causing a the vibration.

It only has 52k on the clock? Never really offroaded.

1st - go offroad....
What speed is the vibration?
Have you checked you wheels to make sure the wheel bearings aren't loose? Also recommend checking the u-joints especially if the vibration occurs while accelerating and slowing, using the engine as the braking force, can show u-joint wear.
That is where I would start.

I'm betting it's a wheel balance issue. Your wheels are lug centric (not hub centric), and without the special (Haweka) adaptor they can't be balanced well enough. Search on yotatech as Gadget even has an extensive write up on this, and Toyota has a technical bulletin regarding this.

Other possibilities that you can check:
-alignment
-proper torque on lug nuts (you'll be surprised at how touchy these things are)
-ball joints (doubt it)
-tie rods
-steering rack bushings

Because of the way the wheel bearings are pressed in the spindles, I'm positive yours are fine.

My biggest question is... how do you have an '01 4rnr with only 52K?! Wow, very cool!

Ditto what Flatland said. It is a wheel/tire balance issue.
