Hope someone on here got ahold of it. Saw a 05 Land Cruiser in what looked to be Thunder Cloud posted on Craigslist last night around 10pm in Denver. Was a 1 owner with about 150,000 miles in her and the asking price was $13,500. By the time the owner got back to me this morning it was sold. Well my search goes on....

Last Nov. I saw a '05 1-owner with 120K miles good service history and 0 accident at about 8pm on Denver Craigslist, called the owner immediately, and bought it the next morning at 8am at the asking price. I gave the owner a reasonable offer, and the answer was "If I can't sell it in two weeks I'll consider your offer". I knew it would be gone in 2 days, let alone 2 weeks, so......

My suggestion is: have $ ready in a local bank, always have some cash in hand for deposit; when you see a good one, go asap with enough cash for deposit, call your employer for a day off if necessary - don't wait.

Totally agree with the suggestion above. Got to jump on it quickly if you see a great deal.

When we bought ours last year, the seller is about 3 hr away. I think we saw it on CL the previous night, and we drove there the next day. We were driving there, and the seller was texting us to make sure we are still coming to see the car. She had multiple people calling her and wanted to buy sight unseen. We take a look at the car, test drove quickly, and gave her a deposit. We went back a few days later to pay and pick up the car.
