Good deal on a M12000?

I found an ad in the local penny-saver for a M12000 with accesories, cover, and mount for 500 bucks. Sounds like a damn good deal to me but i was wondering what others think.

Anything i should look for if i go check it out? Any tricks to verify its operability without hooking it up to 12v?

It has to be stolen. If it is as advertized, take cash, grab it and be happy you got an amazing deal. I got mine for $1050 on sale.

Take some jumper cables and hook it up, just to verify that it works.

Yeah, im calling tommorow. Its got the fairlead too. I sift through all the s*** in that thing every week looking for deals like that, i bet its gone by the time i call though.

If new - as Andy said - it's got to be hot! If used check it out. Absolute best internet price I've ever seen is $1015.

I got mine used off Ebay for $800. It was near new condition. $500 is smokin'. Even if it didn't work, you could replace the solenoids and stuff and still be ahead.

I would buy it in a heartbeat. If you don't buy it, pass the word to 80 series owners in your area. That's a great winch and a great deal. If it is stolen, you will never find the real owner, so you may as well enjoy.
