I'm about to start prepping my 80 for paint and I want to pound out a couple dents the best I can.
What's the best way to prep the car? What tools should I reach for?
The last cat I painted was a 67 VW bug when I was a teenager. Wet sand and spray cans.
My rig is 6M1 Dark Emerald Pearl and it's in horrible shape. There's no way I can make it worse so no reason not to paint it myself! :thumb:
The running boards and brush guard have been removed and it already looks better. I'm resurfacing the wheels as well. I'm not sure if I'm going to paint them or leave them bare aluminum. Maybe black or graphite..
I really don't know what color I'm going to paint the truck so, for now, I'm planning on keeping it stock. It's getting a new windshield after painting is done.
The rear dent I think I can pop out alright but the door is going to be some work.
I have been overwhelmed by the paint info on the web I've been reading and really hope to find a simple way to do it.
Any tips are appreciated.
