My wife and I are planning to be in the Fraser Valley on May 15th and we are taking the next 2 weeks off to enjoy our summer holidays early before she is too pregnant to enjoy much. We were thinking about taking at some point the Sea To Sky or the Harrison West FSR up to Pemberton, then heading up the Hurley FSR to Gold Bridge, then heading towards Seton Portage, then heading down to Birkenhead Lake Prov Park, back down to Pemberton and then who knows where. Has anybody been up that way yet this year and what's the snowline looking like? I have only been in that area once in my life and it was just passing through from Harrison to Lillooet. I hear that the roads are mostly good and the scenery is gorgeous so I'm interested in it, just not sure if I'm jumping the gun and it's a little early in the year to be heading up that way. Also, how many days would you recommend for a tour like this?
Alternate plans would be; 1) Oregon coast (waiting on a passport) 2) Vancouver Island (never done any exploring there) 3) Kootenays (never been there either)
