Here is what the ad says:

"It has all brand New LED gem lights, fresh dupont car paint, diamond plate, electric brakes, truck box, and ATV winch. I need to get rid of the trailer this week ASAP. I have over 40hours of work into buidling it and just have no use for it anymore. This is a great project to finish."

I called the guy and he says that the brakes work and its competely wired. Its a converted RV trailer and looks like a good car trailer from the photo. 18'x5' Its dual axle and just needs ramps and planks. From looks of it fenders too since there are none. I wonder if 5' wide will be wide enough for the Cruiser. I might be able to modify it though.

I have heard of people converting RVs to trailers. Should I be concerned or is there anything important that I should look for? He said he has title and plates. He wants $450 for it

Does anyone have any thoughts or comments?

yeah... I'll buy it. :flipoff2:

Let me know if you don't take it!

I still have your seats by the way. I'm trying to soften up the other half for the purchase of new / old buckets ;)

Hey Jamie,

Sweet. I look forward to get a matching set of seats in the cruiser. :)

If I pass on the trailer I'll let you know.

Gotta be able to talk the wife into it but that shouldn't be too hard after borrowing my buddy's trailer to head up to Kina's last month. Made for a much better drive :steer: for the 3+ hours and didn't have the 90lbs lab thinking he was a lap dog.

Sounds like a good deal, as long as the cruiser fits on it.

On Craigslist right? I saw that but 5' wide is WAY too narrow for me.

I think 40 axles are 55" WMS to WMS. Your tires are 10.5" or so wide...maybe closer to 9.5" on the 6" wheels. I'm thinking you'll be around 63-65" in overall track width, so it may work but it will be pretty tight.

Well before I got the chance to go look at it the guy sold it to his neighbor. I was probably for the best since it was a little narrow anyway.

I've had more than one person tell me that Welch Trailers in East Taunton has great deals on car carriers, like less than $2k for an open deck 18 ft w/ brakes. I know quite a few people that have bought there, and if I can afford a tow rig, I probably will too.

Yeah I know I should take my time and buy a good new one. $2k for a new on is a great deal I just don't have the cash to spend on a new one at the moment. I will keep their number thought. Might be worth looking into.

I've heard a lot of good about these guys, too. They're also local to me.
