Hi Guys,

I finally got my Aisin Carb tuned properly, but I am only getting 20-24km per gallon.... So I am going to LPG....
Now my problem is I need to have the Manifold Top and Inner size, and pictures of a carb so that I can get the right Mixer ordered.
I do notwant ot outhc the Carb at this time to take pictures and do measure, so Iam wondering if anyone has this info and maybe some pictures?

Any recommendation as to which LPG units to buy? I was thinking of Voltran In turkey as a supplier.

You will use more LPG than petrol if you swap, about 10% usually. LPG is only an advantage if its way cheaper than petrol.
You dont give your location, but Australia has over 500000 vehicles runnIng on LPG with lots of companies supplying kits.We have lots of cruisers so they all do a kit for one.
The 3F works well on LPG especially if it is balanced during a rebuild.

Aust LPG is 50c per litre and petrol is a $1.25 a litre, its a long wait to get your car booked in:D

LPG conversion

I have just had mt 4.5 ltr LC converted by an LPG installer, here in the UK petrol is 98p a litre and LPG is 40p it cost me £2300 to have the conversion done, but I do about 24000 miles a year so on that calculation it should pay for itself well within a year, I can't really tell any difference driving on LPG but one thing I have found, it seems to have got rid of the driveline clunkyness.

In Nicaragua LPG is about US$9 per 20KG tank

So the Calculation is easy to do specially that Gasoline is about US$3.5 a Gallon!
Not sure how to convert KG into litres of LPG or in Gallons of LPG.
My main problem is the fact that I just finished repairing the carb, and do not wish to take it out again to take the dimensions... I will buy the kit from Turkey or India, and have it installed here.... We will use household type PLG tanks, or forklift type tanks as there are no LPG filling stations. There are special adpapters to allow filling Auto tanks using household tanks, but I would like to try it out first before I invest in shipping. The cost of the parts in way lower than the prices quoted here. THe whole Kit including pipes etc. will cost less than US$100, so where did 2300 Pounds come from... But then again a cup of coffe and a danish in London run you about 6 pounds! Labour here is cheap. I had the whole engine rebuilt, car painted, new Carpet put in, etc. for less than US$600!

If anyone has the dimensions of the Manifold, which I have been asked for by the LPG supplier, I would really appreciate it... It will save me from having to take down the Car,b again to measure... That scares me as it took a lot of work to get it rebuilt, tuned and installed and all air leaks removed.

Thanks for youe help guys....
