Just curious, aren't the fixed cross bars a problem for you? How do you carry long items that otherwise might fit inside the basket? ...I guess they need to be on top of the cross bars, right?

The fixed cross bars could be a problem, depending on what you’re carrying. We used it for a roof top tent and gear for a two month camping trip out west, and it worked fine.

When I purchased the rack from Gobi in 2014, removable cross bars were not an option.

For those interested in shipping quotes, I have spent too much time giving people quotes and never hearing from them. If you are seriously interested, please retrieve your own quotes and then contact me if you are further interested.

Fastenal will not ship it. This leaves UPS, Fedex, Greyhound, your uncle Billy, and any other shipping carrier you can dream. Below are the dimensions:

Roof Rack is 83" x 47" x 5" tall and weighs approximately 80 pounds.

I believe the 80 and 100 series racks are different dimensions and I also think the attachment hardware is different.
