I picked this up yesterday and got it mounted up last night. It'll go on an LX but the shiny chrome piece at the bottom of the hatch makes it a tighter fit. I got it started then snugged the bracket into place by tightening the bottom allen screws into the ladder.
I have already replaced my struts and the extra weight of the ladder didn't seem to bother them at all. Before I go crazy adding different things I'll zip tie them in place and check the strut performance.
Its a little crooked but I should be able to adjust that square pretty easy. I discarded the measurements given for placement on the upper bracket because it didn't seem to sit very flush. The box said this would fit 1998-2002 so something might have changed but it seems to be fine in this location. I also didn't stick on the tape that was included.
