Thanks for the tip on the steel wool. All better.

Door plugs from SOR came in

I rubbed some boiled linseed oil on the roof. I think this is the ticket. I put it on and am going to let it soak overnight and I’ll rub off the excess with a dry cloth tomorrow and report back.

I’ll try to make a bomb out of my rags later but I have little faith in it.

After looking at the parts I did last night it’s a no brainer. Looks great. I’m going all in

So then I went back over it with about 5 dry rags soaking up and rubbing it in.

I think it turned out magnificent.

I’m going to do inside the bed next.

Thanks Peter for the cute country chick in the cutoffs video. I didn’t take it very seriously but I had hotel time this week so I dug into it a lot and the boiled linseed oil treatment is the real deal for trucks like mine.

I am trying to make a bomb out of my rag though and I can’t get it hot.

Warm it up with a match!

I’m going to find a straight rusty bumper. This one is nasty and I am regretting painting it so I’ll source one.

I wiped it off mostly. I’ll report back on dust but I’d say yes it would stick but it also did on the bare rust parts.

Starting in on Patina now. This is a before.

I did the bed last. I poured it on pretty heavy in there. I removed the one mod the P.O. did in 37 years and am putting the spare back under the bed where it belongs

That is an AMAZING transformation @wngrog! Didn't think I could like that 45 more, but...

Don`t know how the little red Goat smells after her intensive oil bathing.
If she doesn`t like it I would strongly recommend Chanel No5

( on Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

"Coco Chanel revolutionised the way women smell with her fragrance Chanel No 5 - worn by Marilyn Monroe, the perfume was created 97 years ago this year ... their tracks. "That moment consumers were smelling something they had never smelled before, it was an intervention in the history of perfume." .

Have had a constant headlight issue. I figured I’d start at the switch and work from there.

I pulled the old wires and trimmed the tips off for new cooper

Studied my 68+ diagram and it’s not the same so I searched Mud and found it

Cleaned up the switch on the outside.

I added a new floor dimmer as well. Old one was stuck on high.

Now the headlight (two clicks left) selector is making the fuse get ultra hot. I’m going to try to chase that down in a bit. Ugh.
