As most of you may have seen from this thread, the Toyota Trail Riders are hosting the Lone Star Toyota Jamboree at the Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area in Gilmer, TX from January 19th – 22nd.

Ivan "Ironman" Stewart and his wife Linda have graciously agreed to attend the event. They will be there all day and will be available for chatting, photographs, autographs and Toyota of Dallas will provide a built 2006 Tacoma for him to do some wheeling as well!

Toyota is still working on getting one of the FJ Cruisers out for a ride-n-drive, but we haven't gotten confirmation yet.

If you haven't made the commitment to register for the event, the time to do it is now!

This is a non-profit, TLCA sanctioned event for the purpose of raising funds for Texas Motorized Trails Coalition (TMTC) and to promote camaraderie among all Toyota off-road enthusiasts. There will be nationally known sponsors, magazine coverage, and as of now, Toyota is planning on bringing a new FJ Cruiser for test drives on the trails!

Please go here: Lone Star Toyota Jamboree and register today!

OK gang. We've just decided at our meeting today that we're going to roll our annual January Poker Run into the Lone Star Toyota Jamboree in Gilmer. This will be a great chance to wheel and hang out with some of our fine Texas brethren. The difference from our past runs will be that instead of drawing poker hands on the trail, we've decided we'll do a convoy run through eastern Oklahoma to Gilmer, and stop periodically to draw cards for the hand. We'll work up more details on the mailing list on where we'll stay, convoying details, etc. In the meantime, check out the Lone Star Toyota Jamboree website for details, and go ahead an pre-register and save $10 now.

See you there!

Second Prize will be an All-Pro Front bumper
Third Prize will be a winch (working on two)

Demello Off-Road is providing:
one set of sliders
one front light bar
2 bed bars

Marlin Crawler has donated:
A high-steer kit
a set of 4 wheel spacers

Luke at 4x4 Labs has given a high-steer setup

There will be prizes from:

Cruiser Outfitters
SDORI
WabFab Off Road
Sonoran Steel

Performance Off Road
Randy's Ring & Pinion

Of course there will be some gift certificates from TRDParts4U.com as well as lots of Toyota stuff, TLCA stuff, TMTC stuff including memberships and gear from about half-a-dozen individual TLCA Clubs.

I don't know if I can break my goal of $10,000 worth of stuff, but I'm trying!

Everyone needs to bring PLENTY of cash for the raffle. I think there's a club challenge brewing to see which club can claim the most in prizes. :D

Since it all benefits TMTC, we all win in the end, right? Plus you get your picture taken with Ivan "Ironman" Stewart handing you the loot... what could be cooler? :)
