Glow plug install?

All I’ve ever done is put a small touch of high temp (C-5A) neverseize on the threads, but that’s just so they come out easier.
The glow plug seal is the angled face at the bottom of the threaded body.
I use a deep socket (protect the upper insulator and connector) and pull them out. Its a good idea to make sure the female threads in the head are clean, as is the seat at the bottom of the threads (a q-tip damp with solvent to wipe the face).
The new ones should thread in easily till they stop at the seat, then I just give them a firm snug up with the deep socket and bar (10-14ft lb)
Make sure there is NO oil or grease on the glow tube, otherwise it’ll burn out quickly.

Easy-peasy!

Thanks! I’m almost done & it was way easier than I figured it would be! Looking at the olds ones I assume it was way past due!

Assuming the rest of the glow system is working well, if the resistance of each plug is the same (or very close to) as the new ones, and there is no obvious sign of mechanical overheating damage on the old tubes (swelling, splitting), I’d clean them up and keep them as good-but-used spares to be used in emergency.
