Hey all,

I'm currently wiring up a super glow system in to by Isuzu 4BD2T swapped FJ60. I purchased a timer board from "ReviveYourRig" out of Australia, and am wiring it up via their manual.

I've noticed that the toyota part for the glow current sensor on the 2H is a 28631-68020 and the water temp sensor appears to be the 19422-30020.

Both of those parts being expensive and special orders....

Does anyone happen to know:

1) what resistance the current sensor is? I feel like I could make my own with a high watt resistor for less than $200 for the toyota part.
2) if the regular FJ60 water temp sensor would work for the water temp? Or another, easily found (and cheaper) water temp sensor?

Thanks all!

Any particular reason you didnt just run with a Wilson Switch?

FWIW the water temp sensor for a Hilux 2/3L with superglow is cheap from Toyota and peanuts if you go aftermarket. They are not the same as the sensor for the temperature gauge in the instrument binnacle

Thanks. I wonder if the regular 1 wire FJ60 style water temp sensor will work instead?

At the end of the day, it's just a resistor, so it depends on the range of resistance that the glow controler expects. Therefore, your question would be better addressed to the manufacturer of the board. Having a two-pin resistor eliminates earthing issues.

Yeah, I’ve reached out to them but haven’t received any answer.
