Hi group! Has anyone thought about installing the 12vdc and USB outlet in the GX460 like what is in the 4Runner? I've got a 2012 4R Trail that has it and the 2014 GX has what looks like placeholders

The only thing about having power ports in the glove is either one has to have the glove box open or pinch wires to use. Pinching wires isn't as bad as possible warping the glove box door from constant use. What I did purchase and use was a low profile two port USB plug Amazon product ASIN B00E1UWA4O to power my wireless charging docking station for my phone Amazon.com: BESTHING 10W Wireless Charger, Wireless Fast Car Mount, Air Vent Phone Holder, 10W Compatible for Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+/S8/S8+/Note 8, 7.5W Compatible for iPhone Xs Max/Xs/XR/X/ 8/8 Plus: Electronics. This is the only use I have for the 12 VDC in the front of my vehicle.
The only other place I could really use any power would be USB ports for the middle seats. So I've purchased a dual USB high speed outlet port
Amazon product ASIN B078SN814Rthat I'm going to install in the center, rear of my center console/arm rest. This will allow passengers to plug in their devices without having to run a power cord all the way from the ash tray to the middle seats. I will be wiring this into my second "house" battery so it is on all the time without having to turn the ignition on. I wired the power ports in the rear the same way and it works great for my electric fridge cooler. ;) I can leave it on all night and barely draws any battery.
