Science can be trusted to be right at the time.

Look how quantum mechanics was "disbelieved" by Einstein, yet has evolved to be the more true scientific description of how the physics of our universe seems to work. So this is what we believe to be true at this time.

I'm not surprised. Even though someone can get vaccinated, and the vaccine does its job and wards off the vaccine once in the body, there is nothing in the vaccine that kills virus entities that cling to clothes and hang out on surfaces. Going through the airport, a vaccinated person can touch something and pick up the live virus on the skin. Then the vaccinated person can touch something else, and a 2nd person, vaccinated or not, touches the same thing. The virus still gets moved around, and if a non-vaccinated touches something and then ingests the virus somehow, infection can take place.

This is one of the reasons why nail biters, like myself, should try our best to wear gloves when out shopping, fueling the rig, etc.
