here is another one just before all the carnage...

You guys keep talking about the trees.... did you all anger the forest gnomes or something? Looks like a good, sloppy time.

Here you go

try it now....

We've all done things like this at one time or another. Shiite happens and so a lesson learned I'm sure.

For $2K you can buy a whole parts truck.

Can you pull the liner and knock out the dent above the hatch? Do you need a new hatch or just the glass? I've heard of 80s being kinda common at the PaP in Augusta.

I can get a hatch cheap. The issue is the body damage but I'm going to pull the liner. The crushed area has channel reinforcements which I will have to cut out of the way I guess. The hatch closes now but it's too distorted for glass. I thought about a lexan window with the existing hatch. I don't know. I might go get a hatch tomorrow.

Ouch, big tree. Body work ain't too bad, all depends on how "good" you want it to look. Just glad everyone is ok

Robert, I know the dent is in a difficult area to fix but if you google repairing dent in roof or get specific, the are a lot of car forums that have a ton of info on that type of fix. I did not get to look too closely at the dent, but it seemed like the hing area wa OK.
I would post up some pics in the paint and body section and I bet someone can point you in the right direction.

No. That whole area is smashed on the right side.

I think its a good time to cut it up and make it a buggy...

:hillbilly::hillbilly::hillbilly::hillbilly::hillbilly:

oh yea...and sell me your rear driver side door ;)

I have a rear hatch now. It's white and not as nice as mine was. It closes but it is not aligned properly. I'm still working on it.
