Is there a way to check if the Tundra BBS wheels are genuine or replicas?

I am getting wheels + tires for $1500 and want to make sure they are the real deal. I’ve seen plenty of replicas for sale.

Thanks!

Purchased the set. The PO did a great job maintaining it!

Where did you get them?

Definitely will do!

There may be more around, but the only “replicas” I’ve seen of the TRD Pro wheel are 20” instead of 18”.

Didn't know there were 18" replicas? I likewise thought the replicas were made in 20".

I think they look pretty stunning in 20" when paired with large diameter 33"+ tire sizes. Really accentuates the concave style face.

@BillyG2014LC200 had these on his rig.

Awesome pictures!

I plan to keep the wheel size at 275/65 so that the circumference isn’t too big. At that size the wheel circumference is 100.7” compared to 99.9” for the 21” LX rims and tires. Circumference is bigger by 0.8” which turns into a very mild lift.

The wheel revolution per minute is only lower by 5 revolutions per min. 629 revolutions per minute on the 18” and the current 21” tires have 634 revolutions per minute.

It's diameter that affects height. The diameter difference is only 0.2", which means about a 10th of inch lift (so to speak).

(…pushes glasses to forehead) well technically, circumference and diameter are directly related so you could use either to talk about lift, but using circumference is definitely uncommon and a “round about” way to do it.

also, I agree with @Sandroad sentiments, that staying at that size range is pretty much not any different than stock. You can easily go to a 33” tire to gain about 1” lift and it also pretty much corrects the under rating of the Toyota speedometer.
